Message from Organising Chair

I met Dr Salman Akhtar in 2012 during his psychotherapy workshop in Kolkata to interview for my magazine Manoved Digest. That psychotherapy workshop changed my approach to patient care. My second meeting during his workshop in Delhi (2017) inspired me to take this workshop at a larger scale.

Ever since then I have been organising the workshop in different cities of India.

The workshop in Delhi 2023 which was done with the help of the enthusiastic young psychiatrists subcommittee (IPS, 2023) which was a huge success with a turnout of more than 250 participants. Over these years my literary and academic collaboration led to the beginning of a beautiful friendship. The workshop here in Mumbai is a fruition of that friendship.

I am thankful to Dr Salman Akhtar for coming to India and sharing his experience with the budding psychiatrists.
